I was born and raised in Adelaide. I've traveled a fair bit to several different countries and have been to every Australian state, and there is no other place like Adelaide. Other cities may have a bit more excitement but there's something about Adelaide that makes you want to stay here. I'm not an adrenaline or thrill seeker, I'm just happy going with the flow of things, stereo typically Australian!

I identify Adelaide as my home, despite its boring reputation (which you can't deny is a little bit true). But it isn't the city I truly love, but the Adelaide Hills and national parks, where I spend my time photographing or drawing the fauna and flora I encounter (including the friendly emu below!) These are the places that truly resonate with me, and influence my creativity.

I was born in Adelaide, though as a child spent a lot of time on the NSW coast, I identify Adelaide as my home as I don't know any other true home. The places in which I feel most at home are various lookouts throughout Adelaide as I feel a sense of connectivity to my home. Being able to look out over Adelaide and see all of the beauty it has to offer really makes me grateful to live in such a beautiful environment. (Windy Point at 3am or some other ridiculous time)

I was born and raised in the Adelaide suburbs. Living 10 minutes from the city, I think Adelaide is a very fabulous place to live. With the city centre being located perfectly allowing yourself to travel 20 minutes one way and you'll be in the Adelaide Hills, and 20 minutes the other way being at the beach. Adelaide is a beautiful city. This image is of port Willunga beach where my grandparents have a house. My summers growing up were spent at this beach. Wonderful memories

Adelaide is the longest place I've ever lived from memory. I love this place. I think the city has a very strong scent of 'Art' culture in it.

I was born in China and came to Australia with my family when I was 10. We've lived in Adelaide ever since, and although initially found Adelaide very boring, I've grown used to the quiet lifestyle, and enjoy the atmosphere of Adelaide.
I identify both Adelaide and Wuhan, where I was born, my home. The two cities are very different, the quiet and gentleness of Adelaide contrasting against the busy and the very active Wuhan, both cities define different aspects of my personality.

I come from a mixture of cultures: my parents hailing from Vietnam and New Zealand, but being born and raised in Australia, I consider myself an Australian through and through. This clash of cultures has formed my personal identity as an open minded person who embraces other cultures and ethnicities. My appearance is a reminder of these two cultures - I’m relatively short and have dark hair, like my mum, and have inherited my light skin and freckles from dad.

My earliest memories of Vietnamese culture are to do with it’s food. My relatives would often throw big dinner parties for any occasion with plates overflowing with traditional recipes: well known delicacies such as spring rolls and fried rice, to the lesser known bánh xèo and chạo tôm. With New Zealand being so similar to Australia culturally, visiting the country as a kid wasn’t such a culture shock, but the pronunciation was in some instances. Fush and chups anyone?

I was born in Victoria, where my family lived up near the Kinglake ranges. We moved to South Australia after the Black Saturday fires. All my family live in South Australia - my ancestors, I think they were French, moved here to make wine. I've always lived in places where there's alot of bush, and spending time outside among the trees, eating all sorts of weird stuff, was an important part of my childhood. Also, you get great veiws out here, as you see from the photo.

I also have family in Melbourne and 3 years ago my brother moved there so we all travel to Melbourne when we can.

My mum was raised in an Aboriginal community called Areyonga which is out of Alice Springs as my grandma and grandpa were missionaries there. Therefore I have a strong interest in learning more about Indigenous art.
