Corruption is a big problem that hurts our country. I am against it. We need to be honest and fair in how our government and businesses work.

I believe that as long as corruption exists, ordinary citizens will continue to suffer since public funds and services that should go to the people are often wasted or stolen.

My stand in the rampant issues of corruption in our country today is I am very disappointed about what is happening in our country because we can't have a good governance and peaceful country if the politics are all greedy.and I can't imagine that these cases still exist until now, how we can have a prosperous country if corruption still exists. The positive side of democracy is we all have the power to vote, speak up, and protest if we're against the politics we also have the power to choose the leader and the elected leaders are accountable to the people. The negative side of democracy is slow decision making it might be more challenging to make fast decisions when the decision making process requires the input of everybody.

For the negative effects of democracy I think it becomes a way for those politicians to manipulate or use the citizens to vote them because every individual have the right to choose or vote a political leader they use it to buy their votes and to stay in power.Because some of the Filipino people are irresponsible for choosing leaders they will vote those politicians because they are handsome, artist, or well known individuals without knowing the real motive of those people. They're shameless and moreover heartless, no doubt that ever since then i have no trust in these so called politicians in our country.

calling them names is an understatement, mocking them won't be enough for a change if in exchange of this negative feedback of the people is still them gaining privilege for power, no man is deprived of their desires, it's what thrives them to achieve more than what is morally considered as ethical. that just proves how arrogant, self-centered, and greedy they are.

At this point, every single one of them is tainted. influenced and encouraged by each others mutual interest in power to the point even they are hand in hand with corruption.

though these past few days occurence of issues has made me want to know more and have an in depth learnings of politics even though i loathe it.

At this point, I have become more cynical than I was before. Every payment and every projects makes me doubt it already. Are these projects gonna be for the betterment of the country? Or for the betterment of their lives?

I don’t know how these corrupt politicians survive, eat, and sleep comfortably knowing that every Filipino is at the verge of breaking down, stressed about jobs and payments, and are worried that even in the slightest rain, their homes will be destroed. Yet, there they are, travelling countries to countries, spending millions and even billions for their personal gain. Heartless is an understatement to call them. Words aren’t enough to describe how much evil they are. At this point, I don’t even wanna give basic human decency or basic respect to them.

Yes, being a democratic country gives us freedom to vote and to speak up. It gives us chance to choose who leads up for the betterment of our country. But what is the use of being a democratic country when they, the politicians use their power to silence people? How does it become a benefit that we are a democratic country, when we speak up, there are no changes?

I am strongly against corruption because it destroys the very foundation of democracy. Democracy should serve the people, but corruption twists it into serving only those in power. Today, we see how corruption continues to weaken trust in government, hinder economic progress, and silence the voices of ordinary citizens.

However, the positive side of democracy is also clear: people now have the courage to speak up.

The upcoming September 21 rally at Luneta is a clear sign that the nation is finally awake, ready to defend what is right and to demand true democracy.
