E-waste introduces toxins into our environment that are dangerous to humans. The EPA workers that handle this e-waste are at greater risk since they may be directly in contact with the exposed toxins at landfills. Some of these toxins include lead, mercury, nickel, flame retardants, etc. The public will have long term exposure to these toxins as they are released into the air, water, and soil.

Another way that e-waste effects humans is through the consumption of food. When all of those toxins are released into rivers, atmosphere, & the soil, they contaminate our food chain. For example, if a cow were to eat grass that was contaminated by e-waste toxins, the biproducts from the cow, such as milk & beef, will also be contaminated.

When e-waste gets exposed to the heat, toxic chemicals are released up into the air damaging the atmosphere & environment. Electronic waste contains toxic components that are dangerous to human health, such as mercury, lead, cadmium, polybrominated flame retardants, barium and lithium. Another way that e-waste damages the eco system by destroying habitats witch animals live in. Those animals now have to go to an environment that they are not built/used too. Let's say that some e-waste falls out of a dumpster truck on the way the a landfill, the e-waste could then contaminate the grass. And imagine a cow something we humans consume byproducts from eats the contaminated grass, then we humans eat those byproducts from.

E-waste has lead to a total loss of at least US$57 billion and rising, annually throwing away key raw materials, such as iron, copper, gold and others is also just simply a waste of valuable materials. This means that instead of save loads of money each year by reusing these materials, but instead we through them away so each year we keep wasting another $57b and another and another. This needs to stop, NOW!
