This article helped me find the physical characteristics of Venus that I mentioned in my poem including temperature, shape, size, color, volcanoes, etc. This is the primary source I used to research the specific traits of Venus which I used metaphorically and as imagery in my poem.

The movement of the planets in time lapse, helped with shaping "Venus off her Axis." This video helped me to format and shape my poem as if Venus was spinning the opposite way that it does, which is the same way as all the other planets, like the ones shown in the video. Considering part of the poem was about Venus being thrown off course, it only made since to have the shape of the poem represent this and this video directly helped me visual this.

This article strongly influenced "Venus Off Her Axis," since the main point of the poem is talking about Venus as the goddess of love and beauty but using the planet Venus as her physical representation. This allowed me enough history and background information of Venus as a goddess to provide this information in my poem.

Should Jupiter have been a star? Why couldn't it be? 2.5 size statistic, failed stars, characteristics of Jupiter. The statistic about Jupiter being 2.5 times bigger than other planets was the jumping off point for my poem. Combined with background information about Zeus and Jupiter, as well as Jupiter being angry, I was able to use this size statistic to connect Jupiter back to the selected theme. I also got more information about why Jupiter was not a star allowing me to reference correctly the line that Jupiter hated not being enough to be a star, making it factual and metaphorical.
