I do not know why the tree, a very healthy and wide one even, grew up only to bend completely back to the ground. The surrounding was not tight nor restrictive, in fact, it was free to do whatever it wanted yet it chose to grow this way. This area was an area of diversity with blooming wildlife because of the shelter and intricate system the tree made. Growing up as a dual-citizen, I try to spend my time equally in the Philippines and in Taiwan. While I spent more time in this country, having studied here, I have always preferred my stay in Taiwan. The quality of life here seemed to never improve and I felt more drained everyday. A part of me started hating this country. So when the pandemic happened, I wanted to return to Taipei but I was unable to. I felt angry and frustrated, I didn't get why I had to stay locked up here when I could be enjoying my time with family there. I didn't see the bigger plan that was in store for me. 

2.5 years later, I've now realized why. It was to reacquaint myself with this country. As someone that is passionate about food, I found a place with these piggery farmers wherein I can be able to fully utilize my calling in order to share their stories and how important they are in our food cycle.
