criteria that can lead to a successful mixed cropping pattern is the crops that are grown together should have a different maturation time and different water requirements. One tall and one dwarf crop should be grown together. The nutrients required by one crop should be but those required by the opposite. One of the crops should have deep roots and the other one should be shallow. Finally, we chose to plant Corn and Pea because they benefit each other especially from a soil nutritional point of view and etc. Corn is best paired with a type of legume hence why we chose Pea. We also made a quick research based on an article posted by UPM on Intercropping of Corn to finalise our decision on the pattern and type of crop.

Cabbage field cropping pattern is in  rows so that they will have a proper spacing to grow. The type of soil must be nutrient-rich, well drained soil in which means need to have a sufficient amount of water to produce its leafy heads.
