I believe I didn't cross any barriers for myself. However, as a team in production we hit many barriers during production such as the shots not coming out successfully due to focus and stability etc. However, Emma (producer) kept us all in line and helped schedule a second filming day using our second filming location (Woolwich tunnel). I was proud of the group I worked in to recover from the struggles we faced with filming.

The main new skills I have applied during pre-production are based towards editing and written work. The technical skills include: video editing and photo editing. 
However, when I was struggling with the experimental edits I would look into tutorials. In addition, Dave was always helpful for using After Effects and explaining certain techniques.

For next term I wish to be the camera operator as it's my greatest role under the four job roles (Director, Producer, Editor and Camera). Additionally, my skills have developed in that role the most during the college years. I can comfortably film any situation given to me. 
The editor role during pre-production wasn't a very challenging task due to the majority of the work occurring in post-production. However, I still found certain edits difficult at first but feel happy to work on it now

This week I believe I achieved my weekly goal for improving my English skills with the tasks of researching and planning for my pitch. I also believe proofreading has helped me correct any spelling mistakes and grammar errors etc. 
For next week I would like to develop a few things: my vocabulary; I need to advance my vocabulary to achieve higher grades. Premiere Pro CC and After Effects CC skills (to gain the role as an editor) and organisation skills (to achieve the producer role). 

The primary and secondary research I completed really helped me understand what people thoughts where towards music videos. In addition, during vox pops I believe my communication and confidence skills developed as I took on the responsibility on sourcing interviewees to answer some questions. For example, I spoke to around 35 people with 8 people answering questions. Usually I would be working behind the camera and not communicating to anyone.
Summarising the client brief helped me understand what needed to be done during this project and can now ensure I don't include anything that is prohibited in my final edit etc. I improved my listening skills but nothing major as not much work was completed. However, I listened and waited patiently which made these skills develop.

The skills I applied this week were communication, listening, group-work, confidence and research. I used each of these in different tasks. Confidence, group-work and communication in practical work (primary research: vox pops and 1:1 research). Additionally, listening and researching was applied during secondary research (analysing music videos). Publicly speaking to strangers is something that I am proud of as I believe I'm quite nervous and feel more confident to complete more practical work such as Vox Pops. However, to develop these skills further I could actually take on the role as the interviewer. 

•Improve: What improvements do you need to work on? What skills have you used/learnt that you plan to apply into your work next session?
I believe I need to improve my concentration skills as I'm sometimes getting distracted when I should be on more focused on the task in hand. I wish to apply all of the skills I used in the past lessons for the next lesson too. For example, being confident and communicating efficiently . Furthermore, I need to ensure I'm not rushing my work and being descriptive when analysing music videos etc. 

During this week of college, I have started working on many different documents, editing green screen footage and conducted further secondary research. The main skills I have developed during week 3 are to do with editing, After Effects to be more precise. I now feel comfortable with having to edit green screen footage at a basic level. In addition, starting the academic essay really helped further my knowledge on each era for music videos in general.

The skills I applied this week were researching, listening, communication, self-motivating and editing. The hardest task this week was the editing as it was the brand new (using a new software). I don’t believe I will use this in my music video. However, with the help of Dave I managed to complete three small video projects using the green screen footage. When editing I sourced stock footage (green screen footage) such as a tank, waterfall, smoke and explosion. In addition, I had used different sets for each edit to make them unique. I’m very proud of the work that I’ve completed throughout the week as developing old skills and discovering new skills is very important.

For next week, I would like to develop more of my English skills as I still struggle with spelling. I’m going to achieve this by working during my study days on any documents that need completing. However, I believe I improved my concentration skills by working hard on the academic essay, when working on it I weren’t rushing and being more analytical than descriptive.

My editing knowledge has definitely improved with the help of callum's vision. In addition, Dave helping me create the final edit and showing me certain techniques like the bass drop and echoing effect. 
The main barrier we faced was to do with the weather constraints and not having access to the location due to the snow/icy roads. In addition, the weather caused us to cancel our third and final filming day which also caused us to have not enough shots. However, using the same shot but splitting them up worked to fill the sequence. 
My main barrier was my drone not working due to the battery being faulty, when on our first filming we planned to use it but couldn't. However, we weren't the only people filming on set, the BBC had drones and other advanced equipment. I made contact with Callum and spoke about our problem and they offered some of their  drone footage which helped solve this small error.

For next term I won't be editing due to my strongest role being camera and the project being our final major project. 
When reviewing the feedback I didn't have any bad feedback towards editing and only positive. In addition, my first draft didn't include the news coverage, bass drop, echo sound technique and blurry effect that all came to me with the help of feedback and experience of Dave. Dave sat down with me and explained each technique and how to achieve them, with this I worked hard to complete that look. Finally, this project has increased my technical skills massively compared to English. I believe my English skills developed at the start when researching, planning and pitching were the main focus and technical skills during production team (pre-production, production and post-production).
