Britain was where the Industrial revolution began, it had lots of environmental and geographic advantages. It was located along the Atlantic Ocean which easily allowed them to import raw goods, and they had many coal mines (good for powering things). As a colonizing power, Britain had many resources available like timber for ships, and money from the Trans Atlantic Trade that helped them invest in business. The Industrial Revolution helped people in Britain invent things like the spinning Jenny, water frame, interchangeable parts system, assembly line, Bessemer process, vaccines, and so on. This made Britain completely transform and further spread the industrialization to places like Belgium, France, Germany and the United States.

The Industrialization in Europe happened a lot later than other places due to multiple factors that include their small population which limited the amount of labor available, the French Revolution, and fragmented states. As industrial practices started to appear more, the main raw goods that were exported were coal and steel from Germany. Population growth, job openings, and more economic strength were all results of the industrialization that occurred in Europe states.

Japan was one of the first countries to be industrialized due to its small contact with Europe. To protect its culture Japan had to adapt technologies that were created in Europe and the United States. By learning from Western countries they were able to grow military and economic strength, which allowed their domestic traditions to continue. In the 1800s Japan was able to use telegraphs and create their own telegraph networks which was beneficial to the growing strength and power. They were also known for their major trade and exportation of silk, tea, cotton, and ships. In the last years of the 19th century, Japan became a leading world power.

India did not have to industrialize because they had a large enough population to not need machinery. India was a major producer and imported things like cotton, guano, ships, minerals, textiles, and iron to Britain for cheap. Britain then made money from these things and ruled India as they took their material goods and gained control of the Indian Ocean. As industrialization continued, India and Southeast Asia continued to suffer, as they also lost economic strength and lost some production of their goods.

South America had previously suffered from the other revolutions, but the states that did partake in the Industrial Revolution in the 1870s had lots of improvements. The Industrial Revolution led to decreased death rates, higher populations, and more exports that allowed them to tranfer goods like silver, copper, tin, rubber, bananas, beef, coffee, and sugarcane. This helped the economy and power in South America grow.

Industrialization reached the United States in the second half of the 19th century, which over time led to an improved economy. The US had one of the largest work forces at that time and caused people to become used to the work industry, which allowed immigrants, children, women and men to participate in the factories. At this time the United States was also a producer of cotton, which led to Eli Whitney inventing the cotton gin. The cotton gin allowed cotton seeds to be removed from the cotton fiber at a rapid paste, therefore, it allowed a mass production and export of cotton.

When Russia began to industrialize, in the 19th century, they started building railroads and focused on exports. By the 1900s they had built the Trans-Siberian Railroad that stretched from Moscow to the Pacific Ocean which allowed them to participate in trade with countries like China and Japan. Along with the railroads they also developed coal, iron, and steel industries which allowed them to trade goods like coal, iron, oil, and steel. Even though Russia had become the main producer of steel during that time, they still remained agricultural until revolutionaries took over in 1917.
