What are your thoughts about an ‘incomplete’ Health Continuum? We may be healthy one day and not the other. It's an incomplete state. Can a patient be considered healthy if they smoke? Can they be considered to be in good health if they are living with diabetes? by

It is easy to consider health with your own ideal of health in mind. What I may think is healthy behaviour may be different to someone else and it is important that we don't inflict our own beliefs on others. Perception of health is rather subjective.

It is all in relation to each individual and how they perceive it, and how it relates to their quality of life. Accessing healthcare may be a barrier and also their health may not be at the top of their life priority list a certain moment in time.

I think health is so fragile, it can change in an instant. I agree that it is not black and white but rather more less healthy. Health is strongly linked to age, what is normal & expected for a 20 year old is different yo a 60 year old.

The concept of health is very relative to the individual and their surroundings. Health should be a life construct rather than just rely on healthcare services to quantify health in an individual or population perspective
