His name translates to "the leader" in german. Hitler became the leader of the Nazi party in 1920 and it lasted about a year. Also became chancellor from 1933-1945. Hitler took up on political work in Munich in the year of 1919. As of that time, he was an army political agent and joined the small German workers' party in Munich. In the beginning of 1920 he was put in charge of the propaganda and left the army to learn better at being in a part of the party. In that year was renamed the National-sozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei. They were helping Hitler get a rise within the party. countered their attempts to curb him by threatening resignation, and because the future of the party depended on his power to organize publicity and to acquire funds, his opponents relented. In July 1921 he became their leader with almost unlimited powers. From the first he set out. What did Hitler do to be well known? Well,  Adolf Hitler was the famous dictator of Germany from the years of 1933-1945. He rose to power as the leader of the Nazi party. His plan was to let Germany have the most power and take control. Hitler was responsible of a genocide killing over 6 million jews. Hitler had a strong hatred towards jews, he forced them out of their homes and sent them away to concentration camps. While at the concentration camps, many families got separated and the people in the camps had to work. The Jews would starve, they got very weak. There were gas chambers where many Jews would get murdered at the same time.

Located in southern Poland. Auschwitz initially served as a detention center for political prisoners. It evolved into a network of camps where Jewish people and other perceived enemies of the Nazi state were exterminated, often in gas chambers or could be used as work labor. People were marked with numbers and written in a book of records.
