Life During the time of the
 event : After going into hiding, Anne starts to get more depressed and independent as time goes by. Germany and England are battling in Amsterdam. Also, if a German soldier or the police found a Jew, the Jew would be arrested; therefore no Jew is safe out in public.
What did places look like: Streets full of soldiers and buildings were destroyed. Actions taken during time of story: Fighting of brutal war, and Jewish population being sent to concentration camps.
Drastic change of events: Anne and her family and friends were found and sent to different concentration camps. Everybody later passed away except for Anne's father. 
After time of book: She is remembered for her bravery and chronicles of her daily life in hiding during the Holocaust.

Life During the time of the 
Event : Life during the Early 2000's for girls striving to be educated was tough because of a high school dropout named Fazlullah who thought girls did not have the privilege to be educated. 
What did places look like: In Malala's neighborhood, it was a usual sight to see kids playing together; games like tag and cricket. In the market place, you would always see woman in clothing that would cover there face, and would escorted by with men. If not, the woman would be beat or be lucky and be sent off with a warning like Malala's mother. 
Actions taken during time of story:
 1. Fazlullah was making people believe that Muslim girls should not be educated.
2. Girls were furious and most were taken out of school because of their frightened parents.
3. Kids did not go outside anymore because they were afraid. 
Drastic change of events: When gaining fame for here leadership and fighting for girls education, she got shot on a school bus after school.
After time of the book: At 16, she spoke at the United Nations and went on to win the Nobel Peace Prize.
