Mayella's guilt about her lies obviously troubled her during the court scene, but she continued lying to defend herself during the trial, even if she felt guilty about it.  In many occasions, there has been a rude adult and still we had to respect them. Not to long ago, I was at a doctor appointment with my mom. as my nurse mom and I discussed treatments and their prices, I realized it was really expensive. I Switched to Spanish (for privacy reason) so that I could tell my mom that it would have been best to just cancel it all - the nurse rudely interrupts IN SPANISH and explains that no matter where I went, I would not be able to find cheaper deals . My blood beings to boil in anger of her reaction... if I chose to speak to my mom in a different language it’s because of privacy reasons , not an excuse for her to come in and brag about her speaking the language.
