Concept 1. Interaction with others and your understanding of another's history influences the way you understand and piece together your own history and the  development of your persona.

Concept 2. The industrialist rich oppress the workers’ identities and physically alter their bodies to maintain the division between the higher and lower classes, eternally trapping the working class.

Concept 3. Patrick’s interactions with other immigrants display his elation in connection but also his remaining disconnection. (e.g Hana being the link between Patrick and the migrants- translating)
