Got them on the right track - first semester, they successfully earned their English I credit, and now we are working on their English II credit so they can catch up with their peers!
We are currently reading 'Othello,' and they are loving it! So much so, they were angry with me when I missed school Wednesday - they wanted me at school so they could continue reading!
These students, who previously struggled/hated English, are now sad when they miss it :)
