         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li>Who: A New Zealand-born British physicist who was known as the father of nuclear physics. </li><li>What: He discovered the nucleus of an atom by an experiment known as the gold foil experiment. This involved a thin sheet of gold and small particles that were shot at the gold. Rutherford noticed that some particles went through and some were reflected. Eventually, he came to the conclusion that atoms had a nucleus and created the Rutherford model that included it.  </li><li>When: 1911</li><li>Where: Britain</li><li>Picture: </li></ol><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li>Who: An English physicist who was said to be the discoverer of electrons.</li><li>What: Thomson discovered electrons by using a cathode ray tube. While doing his experiment, he figured out that they are negatively charged. He used a plum-pudding model to show that an atom is a sphere of positively charged matter with electrons in it to balance out the positive charge.          <description><![CDATA[<ol><li>Who: A Danish physicist who made contributions to the understanding of atomic structure and quantum theory</li><li>What: He is best known for creating the Bohr Model. It showed that electrons moved around in prescribed orbits around the nucleus and that radiation occurs when electrons jump from one orbit to another.
