         <description><![CDATA[<div>Egyptian society was structured like a pyramid. At the top were the gods, such as Ra, Osiris, and Isis. Egyptians believed that the gods controlled the universe. Therefore, it was important to keep them happy. They could make the Nile overflow, cause famine, or even bring death.<br>The gods are not really on the top actually on the top are<br>The pharaoh and those associated with divinity were at the top, and servants and slaves made up the bottom. The Egyptians also elevated some human beings to gods. Their leaders, called pharaohs, were believed to be gods in human form. They had absolute power over their subjects.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>They trained to keep up their strength and endurance. They also trained on different types of weapons. If they were proficient with a bow, then they would become an archer. <br>The army was often used for tasks other than fighting. After all, if Pharaoh was going to feed all these men, he was going to get some use out of them during times of peace. The army worked the fields during planting and harvest time. They also worked as laborers on a lot of the construction such as palaces, temples, and pyramids. </div>]]></description>

They received plunder from battles as well as a plot of land when they retired.</li><li>Sometimes young boys were signed up to be in the army as young as 5 years old. They didn't actually start fighting until they were 20 years old, however.</li><li>Army divisions were often named after gods.</li><li>The Egyptians often hired foreign mercenaries to fight for them, especially in battles that were away from the land of Egypt.</li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>

They built the pyramids but there mummies where actually underneath it in a place called burial chamber. The pyramids are more than 4,000 years old.<br><br>Most ancient Egyptians were farmers. They lived in village and towns in the Black Land along the Nile river. Egyptians wanted to save most of the black land for farming that's why Egyptians were living close to each other. They often cooked on the roof and sometimes slept on the roof in the summer.</div>]]></description>

He was know as the lord of the two lands. The pyramids were only for the pharaoh because as I already told you that they were the most powerful people in egypt. </div>]]></description>

Each symbol represented something different and meant something different. The script was composed of three basic types of signs: logograms, representing words; phonograms, representing sounds; and determinatives, placed at the end of the word to help clarify its meaning. </div>]]></description>
