Worth Every Sleepless Night

This course was definitely worth every sleepless night. The late hours spent fixing layouts, troubleshooting glitches, and finalizing our website were tiring, but they also pushed me to learn more than I expected. At first, I honestly thought it would just be another technical subject, but it turned out to be so much more. I learned how to use tools and platforms like Google Sites, Canva, Wix, and Figma, and I gained a better understanding of how web technologies can be applied in libraries and information centers.

What I really liked about the sessions is that they weren’t just focused on theory — we actually got to apply what we learned by creating our own website. It made the lessons feel more practical and relevant. Even when some parts were challenging, I felt supported by my group and by the resources our professor provided, like inviting speakers who could guide us.

Looking back, all the effort was worth it. I’m walking away from this course with not only technical skills but also improved teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability. I feel more confident now that I can create and manage a website, and I know these skills will be useful for future academic work and even in the workplace.

It tiring for us because we just came from our 1st year and we need to attend the summer term with 18 meetings and everyday sessions. But despite of that thought, this summer term was fun and full of knowledge. Of course, with the help of Prof. MAJ we manage to survive and learn different things that we can use in the future especially creating a website. Aside from that, I am thankful to our Professor with his dedication and knowledge he shared with us.

I thought that his subject would be very easy—especially since Prof. MAJ explained everything so easily. But as we went deeper, I realized that there was so much more to learn, and it was no longer about just following steps—it was about getting to grips with the process and really giving it a go. The lessons felt so technical, and the assignments seemed tough, with so many new tools and processes to learn! But as time passed, I was starting to view every challenge as a stepping stone for growth. Troubleshooting, designing, and constant iterations taught me that learning is not always easy, but it's worth every piece. There were late sleepless nights and doubts, yet they taught me a bit more about my patience and determination.

With the guidance of Prof. MAJ, what once felt like a complicated subject slowly turned into a space where I could explore, experiment, and apply my ideas. He didn't just show us what we could do to create a website but taught us how to think critically and adapt to change while struggling to keep striving when the outcome seemed far away. His course has defined my skills and my mindset, and I appreciate each of those lessons above and beyond the classroom setting—it was a journey that not only strengthened my mind but also my heart.

When the semester began, I imagined this subject would be manageable, especially with how clearly Prof. MAJ presented each lesson. But as the weeks unfolded, I discovered that mastering the concepts required more than simply listening it demanded curiosity, persistence, and the willingness to dive deep into unfamiliar territory. The projects challenged me to work with new tools, think through detailed processes, and face the frustrations that came with trial and error.

What surprised me most was how those challenges slowly turned into opportunities. Every error became a lesson, every obstacle a reason to sharpen my skills. Late nights of problem-solving taught me patience, while moments of doubt strengthened my determination to finish what I started. Prof. MAJ guided us not just in building a website but in developing a mindset that embraces adaptation, creativity, and resilience.

Looking back, this subject became more than a technical course it was a training ground for both my skills and my character. I walk away not only with stronger abilities but with a deeper belief in my capacity to learn, adapt, and push forward no matter how steep the climb.

The sessions in this class were overall impressive. Even though the workloads were quite heavy, I can say that they were reasonable because we had the opportunity to apply all of the concepts we learned throughout the course. The class was engaging, especially with the inclusion of various resource speakers who provided us with additional knowledge and real-world insights related to Web Development.

What I will walk away with from this session is not just the technical concepts we studied, but also the values, experiences, and lessons that came with the process. I realized that there is so much we can gain from a single class—not only theories and skills, but also the journey of collaborating with others, overcoming challenges, and applying practical learnings that will be useful beyond the classroom. This term has been both a test of perseverance and a rewarding learning experience, leaving me with a stronger foundation and a deeper appreciation for the field of Web Development.

This special term was probably the most difficult stage of my life as a PNUan. Honestly speaking, special term was probably something nobody asked for, but unfortunately it had to be done because of DepEd's curriculum change.

For the first week of the class, I felt exhausted. I felt drained and I felt like I could just fall any moment. It was to be expected on my end of course. After all, we just went through three consecutive terms (semesters). It was bound to happen that all of us would feel exhausted in many ways

Regardless, I do believe that with every difficult challenge that we encounter in life, there's bound to be learnings within it. It took me a while to digest the learnings from the course, and it also took me a while to appreciate the learnings I could obtain from this course. Despite my mental health being this low, I eventually accepted the situation and just tried my best to learn and apply the skills that I would learn in this course.

Prof. Maj really tried his best on teaching us, and it was noticeable. I would encounter him a lot in the google sites whenever I would go to our website. I really appreciate Prof. Maj for being a consistent professor and trying his best on teaching us despite the fact that we only had less than a month to learn everything about the course.

It took me a while to regain my sanity and pull myself together, maybe it's just as they said: The only thing that can change our life is by changing our perspective. I may be late in realizing it, but just as the sayings said, it's better late than never.

Thank you po, Prof. Maj. God bless po and have a nice week ahead!

However, I have come to appreciate the learning and knowledge that our professor was sharing with us. I also appreciate that our outputs were more on practical application, for us to really integrate our understanding of the topics. Furthermore, I know that I probably did not gave my best in this summer/special term due to stress and burnout, but now that it is coming to an end, I am grateful for the new learnings and expertise shared with us by Prof. MAJ. Honestly, I thought that this term would be boring and note interesting as websites and systems are not my line of work, and I have been drained due to academic workloads in the last term but the first day we've started our class with this subject, Prof. MAJ has already broke the ice with us in less than 30 mins, he already caught our attention and might as well our interest. I never truly imagined that this special term would be this meaningful given that in just short period of time I never really thought that we will be able to accomplish such works with full creativity and team work. If would rate this class, it would've 11/10 as it doesn't only brought us knowledge and new skills, but rather beings us joy ans made us realize that we will still find fun things while studying a serious subject. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience sir^_^

We are at the cusp of transitioning from first-year students to second-year students; all it takes is for us to finish our term and start our new academic year in a few days.

However, I would like to take the opportunity to reflect upon the opportunity of being in this situation. Evidently, it was difficult for me to adjust given that the end of our previous term was quite unorganized for me.

During this term, there were certain things that I wish that I have done more and in a more productive way. This doesn't just go for the subject of LIS21, but also for our LIS23 subject as well. I digress. In the end, I am more than thankful to have Prof. Jamisal as our professor for one of our subjects, as he made LIS21 richer in terms of depth, and more interesting in terms of the topics discussed.

I really didn’t expect this subject to be so engaging and enjoyable. From the start, the lessons and activities kept my attention, and I learned so many things I never thought I could do. It was a great experience to actually create a website from scratch and realize that I can contribute something valuable to our group. This process not only improved my skills but also boosted my confidence in trying new things. I just hope that it is offered in a full term and not just a special term, since I think it’s a really great subject and an amazing experience to create a website—so imagine what more we could do if we had a longer time to work on it. I believe what I’ve learned here will be very useful in my future projects and career.

Head:

The session was informative and insightful. I thought the tools suggested by Dr. Ruben E. Faltado III in the previous session were sufficient. However, through Engr. Mark Anthony F. Jamisal's presentation I discovered additional useful tools and applications —especially Classroomscreen. I’m excited to use it in the future.

Heart:

I feel enriched by the knowledge I gained tonight, and I believe I’ll be more efficient with the suggested tools.

Feet:

I’ll move forward with the realization that there are still many applications to discover. It will help me teach more effectively and creatively sooner.
