Along with them losing their homes they weren't making enough money in the south, so they went to the big cities (the north) and went to search for jobs, so they could search for high paying jobs to pay for their family. Also, the duke led a ten-piece orchestra at the cotton club that helped out many people to realize that african americans can produce good music. Bessie Smith (below) was a very popular blues singer that was the most paid african american in the world. They also helped with changing how the music production was made and helped the world realize that music in important to your life.

It also changed how many Americans houses would look like. For example, a house would now come with a driveway and a garage to keep your car in. Another big part of the automobile was that it attracted many new shops/stores that people would want to go to. The plane affected the railroad system because not a lot of people used the railroad after the plane was made because the plane was faster than the railroad. Another affect the plane had was on the businesses. They got affected because some businesses sold items that were for the railroads but, now nobody wants to use the railroads. The credit played a big part in the 1920s. For example, the american credit made the money system pretty easy for everyone. Another thing that credit did was it made banks give money to you for a low interest rate. The installment plan fuel a superficial prosperity because more and more people were becoming in dept after this was made.
