         <title>WEEK 1 - Adab (ethics) in Learning Knowledge</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p> This week, we've discussed the adabs (ethics) in learning knowledge and the importance of it. </p><p>Based on the discussion, it is clear that it is important to emphasize ethics while learning as it was stated in the al-Quran (the book of guidance).</p><p><br></p><p>These are some examples of ethics that should be practiced among students :</p><ol><li><p>Recite the dua - clearly, as muslims we have to seek guidance from the Almighty as we know that the 'ilmu' comes from Allah. </p></li><li><p>Set the purpose of why - everything is based on your niat but we have to pursue it as an ibadah and a submission to Allah.</p></li><li><p>Respect your lecturers/teachers </p></li><li><p>Proper attire - wear syariah complience clothes to class (covering your aurah), wear appropriate clothes even while studying alone.</p></li></ol><p><br></p><p>The importance of adab :</p><ol><li><p>For better understanding</p></li><li><p>blessed with knowledge spiritually and physically </p></li></ol><p><br></p><p>To summarize, the whole context was taught by the Prophet SAW himself through his sahabah. We should take him as the sole example as he is the most perfect human being created by Allah Al-Karim.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Through out our discussion, we have discussed about the Pillars of Iman (faith) more deeply.</p><p><br></p><p>1. Belief in Allah</p><ul><li><p>as muslims, we have to belief in Allah throughly. this relates to the concept of Tawhid, which means the Oneness of Allah. As muslims, we should believe that there is only one God that is worthy to be worshipped and we should not associate Allah with other beings.</p></li></ul><ol start="2"><li><p>Belief in Angels (Malaikat)</p><ul><li><p>It is compulsory for every human being to put their belief in the Angels as they are one of the most perfect makhluk that was created by Allah. The existence of Malaikat is to show the greatness of His power. </p></li></ul></li><li><p>Belief in Revealed Scriptures</p><ul><li><p>Allah has revealed 4 Kitabs through his Messengers as the final revelation of Allah's message to mankind. The 4 Kitab are Taurah (Prophet Musa A.S.), Zabur (Prophet Daud A.S.), Injeel (Prophet Isa A.S) and The Quran (Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.)   </p></li></ul></li></ol><p><br></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol start="4"><li><p>Belief in the Prophets and Messengers</p><ul><li><p>We are obliged to put our belief thoroughly as they are the ones chosen by Allah to guide us to the right path.  They were also commanded to warn those who disbelieved about the punishment of Hell, and to give glad tidings to those who believed about the reward of Paradise.</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Belief in the Day of Judgement</p><ul><li><p>The Day of Judgment is the day when Allah judges mankind for their deeds. Every human being will be resurrected from their graves and will be given their book of deeds – both good and bad.</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Belief in Devine Decree (Qada' &amp; Qadar)</p><ul><li><p>As muslims, we are obliged to believe that everything happen has its' own reason and Allah has planned everything occordingly and we were given the options to pursue it or not. </p></li></ul></li></ol>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>During our previous discussion, we have discussed about the concept of Ihsan and the examples that we should take as a lesson.</p><p><br/></p><p>The concept of Ihsan was previously described in the Hadith Jibril, "Ihsan is to worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you do not see Him, know that He sees you".</p><p><br/></p><p>There are 3 parts of Ihsan that we should apply in our daily lives. </p><ol><li><p>Do good to others.</p></li><li><p>Do good to others with the best form of quality.</p></li><li><p>Do it for the sake of Allah</p></li></ol><p><br/></p><p>Examples;;;</p><p><br/></p><p>Prophet Ibrahim A.S. - For years, Prophet Ibrahim has tried his best to persuade his father to immerse in Islam. However, his father still pushed him away. By that, the Prophet decided to destroy each and every statue that was made by his father. This shows that the Prophet has set up a strategy. Lastly, everything that Prophet Ibrahim did is for the sake of seeking Allah's pleasure (Lillahi ta'ala).</p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>This week, we've discussed about the significance of adab and akhlaq in Islam. </p><p><br/></p><p>1) Adab with Parents</p><p> based on Surah Maryam verse 41-48, it talks about how Prophet Ibrahim talked politely and gently to his father even though his father was being very harsh on him. </p><p>The Prophet explained to his father why we cant worship Shaaitan and whoever worships other beings than Allah, that person would be disobedient to Allah.</p><p>However, his father replied by questioning the Prophet why was he rejecting his 'Gods' and banished him away. </p><ul><li><p>talk gently and politely with your parents</p></li><li><p>regardless who your parents are, still respect them and love them as your parents</p></li><li><p>use respectful words even though they're disbelievers</p></li></ul><p><br/></p><p>2) Adab towards Neighbors </p><ul><li><p>treat them as families - they are going to be the ones that will help us incase of an emergency</p></li><li><p>offering gifts - as an act of ukhwah</p></li></ul><p><br/></p><p>3) Adab as Students/Friends</p><ul><li><p>keep secrets to yourself</p></li><li><p>respect boundaries </p></li><li><p>consider others</p></li><li><p>don't talk bad about others</p></li></ul><p><br/></p>]]></description>
