         <title>The Catapult Challenge </title>

Our final result in the competition ended up being 0/10, but at one point we did make 7 successful launches during the time when we could still make improvements.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Being that it missed every launch, it didn't work. We had to get 8/10 shots, and we had none. I think we could've put a LOT less tape on it, and used a rubber band in the middle, to make it launch a little better. I also think we should've put a binder clip near the bottle cap so that we could actually launch it from the ground, not from midair. (The ball didn't exactly weigh much...)</div>]]></description>

         <title>THE PASTA BRIDGE</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This time, we were given the challenge of constructing a bridge made out of pasta that would be able to hold 5 pounds (or more!). <br><br><strong>THE STORY:<br></strong>You are trapped on an island and are in search of food. On your trek inland, you come across a river filled with <em>many </em>hungry crocodiles. You must construct a bridge out of various sticks and logs (represented by the <em>uncooked </em>pasta) in order to reach the other side safely.<br><br><strong>THE REQUIREMENTS, CHALLENGES, and CONSTRAINTS (:O)<br><br></strong><strong><em>You must construct this bridge out of: <br></em></strong>1-inch bundle of spaghetti<br>1 cup rigatoni<br>2 lasagna noodles<br>hot glue (no more than 2 sticks/day)<br>1 meter of masking tape (per day)<br><br><strong><em>Constraints and Challenge<br></em></strong>We need to construct a bridge made out of different pieces of uncooked pasta that could span a distance of 10 inches from end to end. It needed to support five pounds. It needed to have both vertical and horizontal supports. It could NOT be attached to the testing table.</div>]]></description>

         <title>The Device- and did it WORK?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>What was the device?<br></strong>It was a control panel with the buttons "Up, Down, Left, Right, Space, and Click". Makey-Makey alligator clips were attached to these 'buttons', and when pressed, they would move a sprite to wherever. (It worked... HOWEVER, you had to be holding a black alligator clip that was touching 'EARTH'.)<br><br><strong>Did it work?<br><br></strong>As stated above, yes. We did have a black alligator clip which you had to hold on to for it to work, though. Otherwise the game only glitched sometimes and put a sprite in the wrong position. (The Gucci Guy was laying down instead of standing.)</div>]]></description>

He then explains how to operate the game.<br><br><strong>Second scene:<br><br></strong>Cat sees his best friend Chicky trapped in a cage when he enters the jungle. A guy wearing Gucci pants has trapped him. (The guy says, "I spent too much money on these Gucci pants.")<br>Cat then says-without being seen- "We must save Chicky! Follow me!" <br><br><strong>Third Scene<br><br></strong>Cat tells you to move to the <em>right edge </em>and press the up arrow to enter the castle. You enter the castle, and pick up the key using the <em>up </em>arrow. Cat takes you back to the jungle. Do not move.<br><br><strong>Fourth and Final Scene<br><br></strong>Cat tells you to run over the Gucci Guy to save Chicky. <em>Cat: "Remember, the left arrow to move left!"<br></em>After you crash into the Gucci Guy and he falls, Chicky is freed.          <description><![CDATA[<div>We could improve a lot of things. <br><br>1. We could've added a space where the marble would land in after it dropped.<br>2. We could've made the flippers a tad bit more functional.<br>3. We could've added a marble run (I do have it, but we ended up not using it).<br>4. We could've made the box a bit more decorative.......<br><br>These things could need improvement to help the overall appearance along with the performance of our pinball machine.</div>]]></description>

         <title>How did we build it?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>We used specific measurements, cardboard, wooden sticks, wax wrap, construction paper, and some colored pencils.<br><br>We <strong>built </strong>it from the ground and up with cardboard pieces that had been measured carefully. We hot-glued all those pieces together. (The sticks and the wrap made up the midsection, where you could see the candy/marbles. We did not have candy so we used 2 marbles.)<br>After, we got construction paper, cut it out to fit the machine, and colored it.</div>]]></description>

They both reappear in random places trying to find the other. One goes into space just as the other comes into where they were. They find each other in the end. 25 years later, they are playing  on the stove (because they are weird) and die. Then the credits roll.<br><br>We chose it because we thought it would be a good plot.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>We had the following steps:<br>1. We used a cardboard stick thingy to push the marble.<br>2. The marble rolled down the ramp.<br>3. The marble hit the dominoes.<br>4. The fallen dominoes hit the car, which started to roll.<br>5. The car hit a line of Jenga blocks.<br>6. The Jenga blocks hit a tennis ball, which started to roll.<br>7. The ball hit the popsicle stick stack.<br>8. The popsicle sticks fell into the box.</div>]]></description>
