This is it; "She makes it clear that technology itself is a political act by pointing to the importance of the word choice, pacing, and the implications of passing or failing a class for the the Indigenous pre-service teachers who want to serve Indigenous elementary and secondary students" (pg. 2). Reading this really made me think "what"?? because it's almost impossible for students/ pre-service teachers to learn from teachers who only use complicated language. It's as though the teachers are less focused on preparing their students for the world and more interested in showing off their own intelligence. How can someone be expected to learn if they do not understand what they are being taught?

The WOW!! that I chose to focus on, because there was a lot of surprising new information in the article, was this; "This diversity and plurality of knowledge is fundamental to the dynamism of knowledge systems and the survival of communities over time. The interconnectedness of knowledges, source of knowledge, and experience are critical to understanding how Indigenous peoples have survived more than 500 years of genocide" (pg. 5).  The Indigenous people, despite being stripped of their own culture and being forced to acclimate to the Western ideals and ways of life, have still managed to preserve their most important beliefs. They focus on the interconnectedness of nature and people, moving away from traditional Western ideals to preserve their own.
