Fascism is a type of totalitarian rule that focuses on extreme nationalism, military power, and often racism. All fascist governments are totalitarian, but not all totalitarian governments are fascist—some focus on class equality instead. Totalitarianism is about total control, while fascism is a specific belief system within it.

1) While totalianarism focuses on complete, total control, known to everyone, fascism is more focused on the illusion of a democracy- rigged/controlled elections. Also, fascism is much more corrupt than totalatarianism- economically wise. People are more capiltlist and allowed to enjoy things- and by people I mean the centralized, higher authority figures.

2) both are very centralized, restrictive governments that give power to a very small group of people. These small groups of people control most, if not all, of the government.

I think the people in the in-group felt bad for the out-group being blamed, but maybe relieved that they were not being blamed for the country's problems.
