There are different types of radiation for example: electromagnetic radiation, radio waves, micro waves, x-rays, and gamma rays. They are all called the electromagnetic spectrum and they all have different wave lengths. Radio and the color red has the longest wave and gamma and purple waves has the shortest wave. The color white reflects all colors and the color black absorbs all color.

The shortest wave length is violet and longest is red. There are gamma rays, micro waves, x rays, etc.

Extra : there are also alpha rays and beta rays. alpha ray can't pass paper, beta rays can pass paper but stop at metals, gamma rays burn paper, metal but thick lead shielding will stop it.
