  • Interview--The interview has a better response rate than mailed questions, and the people who cannot read and write can also answer the questions.
  • Survey---Surveys can be administered easily through online, mobile devices, mail, email, or telephone. 
    • Quantitative is concerned with understanding human behaviour from the informant's perspective while Qualitative is concerned with discovering facts about social phenomena. 
    Qualitative data are reported in the language of the informant while quantitative data are reported through statistical analyses.

One advantage is that it can be carried out by the researcher or by any number of people with limited affect to its validity and reliability. Reliability refers to the consistency of a measure (whether the results can be reproduced under the same conditions). Validity refers to the accuracy of a measure (whether the results really do represent what they are supposed to measure).

    Another method of data collection is surveys. One advantage is that this method is very versatile. Versatility is defined as a state of having a wide variety or the ability to change, which means it can be used to research on any task of topic.
