This song in particular isn't as well known as his other tracks, but was made specifically for the film Dear White People (a satirical film about African american youth, fighting negative stereotypes).  

The song opens with the first three lines-
"it feels like every move i make is gon' be wrong
feels like i don't belong
iv'e never been to prison but you're thinking that it wont be long"

He says this to address the issue of African Americans having to constantly mind their actions in fear of repercussions known exclusively to them (eg. Trayvon Martin). Also the line "feels like i don't belong" is used to send the message that because of negative stereotypes, African Americans feel outcast by the rest of society and are not equal to their Caucasian counterparts. 

The artist goes on to rap;
"see that's why i wrote this song
sometimes i feel that when you stare at me
 you wish that it's a noose that i was choking on"

This makes reference to the way african americans were lynched and killed during the black civil rights movements in the 1930's-50's. It also sends a direct message to white people and the hostility african americans feel from the way white people generally see them. Although not all white people think this way, it sends the message that the minority of white people leave an impression on african americans, the same way the minority of african americans leave an impression on white people.

Lastly the end of the first verse reads;
" I don't know if i can take it
I can't roam the block without being under surveillence
i hate it
and everywhere i go im like a motherfuckin problem
cos everywhere i go these niggas thinkin imma rob em 

The first two lines about "surveillance" talk about how black people are a target for the police. it also talks about how black people are always a topic of negative discussion in the news and media, and how the cameras are always on them. the last to lines refer to how the black stereotype effects african americans directly. Because of the negative portrayal of black people in the news and media, african american people get treated negatively by the general public. It also sends a direct message to white people and talks about how they think of african americans. Although not all white people think like this, it sends a message about how the minority of white folk can warp black america's perception, the same way white people judge by the minority of african american's.

In the documentary, the film maker showed us both sides of the argument and furthermore he tried to reinforce the idea of the negative effects on African Americans because of stereotyping.

A big part of the documentary was making sure both sides of the story were told, so that there was no question as to who was wrong and right in this situation. This was used throughout the documentary to disprove Michael Dunn's statements, of Jordan being a thug. 

The first time this was shown was when Michael Dunn spoke about Jordan and his friend's, and how he thought they were dangerous people. The way he spoke about Jordan he played him and his friends out to be thugs/ criminals, but footage and interviews with his friends showed that they were just normal teens living in the suburbs. Also his parents who were christian and earning that of an upper/ middle class citizen did not give any indication that Jordan was brought up violently or around violent people. 

Also Michael claimed that he saw Jordan holding a weapon. Because of the stereotype of violent african americans, it (in theory) would not be an illogical argument to make, except their was no weapon found in the car or anywhere else for that matter. 

The case of Trayvon Martin was also being compared during the time of this court case. This was because in both cases a white man shot and killed an unarmed black teen and in both cases they pleaded self defense. This caused outrage in the black community, as they thought what happened to Trayvon was handled badly in court and also unjust. Ultimately Michael was convicted of the murder of Jordan Davis and given 90+ years in prison.

Nas and Bibi Bourelly, the talk about the issue of police brutality against the colored people of the U.S. mainly African Americans. The song itself didn't initially come out with an official  music video and was instead played over a montage of pictures of victims of police brutality. However when the music video was released, it gained over 2 million views, both videos racking up over 4 million views on youtube. 

The song itself starts with the voice of a child reciting a line from the pledge of allegiance, " liberty  and justice for all" to which another voice replies, " justice for all?". the second voice represented the voice of african american people who have been abused and mistreated from the government and police. Also they use the voice of children, as the pledge of allegiance is taught in primary schools in america when they pledge allegiance to the flag. Also the second voice questions the first, backing the idea that there is no justice or liberty for african americans.

The artists also address the the idea of white people having created the black image. The artists address this during the chorus, which reads

"You act like the change
Tryna throw me in chains
Don't act like you saving us
It's still the same
Man don't act like I made it up
You blaming us
Let's keep it one hundred
You gave the name to us
Nigga"

At the beginning of the chorus, the artist sang the line " tryna throw me in chains, don't act like you saving us. It's still the same". This is referring to the way black people were treated  during the slave days and martin luther king jr era, when african americans were enslaved and had to fight for their rights. 
Lastly in the end of the chorus, the artist sang the line " lets keep it one hundred, you gave the name to us, nigga". This line refers to the way white people initially labelled african americans and all other coloured people as negro's, and also how the media created the infamous black image. Because of this, african americans feel like they do not stand at the same level as their white counterparts and that they're still battling the same slave mentality that they'd been fighting since the black civil rights movements in the past.
