In the first week after introductions, we read out the script as a group. I put myself up for a role as I was going to be acting one of them in the future.

I got put as Man in Black 1 which ironically was the role I ended up being cast as.

With my character being based on the film Men in black, I wanted to represent what a Men in black character would be like in this scenario. My lines at the time gave the impression of something serious as there were no witty lines given for my character so I knew I wouldn't be like Will Smith's character in Men in black but more like Tommy Lee Jones's character who is much more serious in the movies.

I want to display this in my role by trying to not react to what Grace has to say as I think my character is not very empathetic and doesn't have sympathy for others.

This will lean into wanting my character to be serious but now with an unnerving sense to him.

While on holiday I unfortunately got into a snowboarding accident which led me to breaking my collar bone. This was a worry at the time but discussing it with the producer we realised we should still be fine. This was because my character didn't have any action scenes which would allow me to rest my arm. But also by the time of filming my arm should be able to move much more freely around which when coming to film was true.

But the start of the week rehearsals were done which gave me more more perspective on the actions i would be performing on set. This allowed me to focus on saying the lines i had learned on the actual day of filming. As i had learnt my lines when on holiday i sped u the process of rehearsals due to not having to go back on forgotten lines but also not reading from a script was quicker and allowed for more accurate timings of scenes to see how long theyd be when filming.

Throughout the day I rehearsed my lines with Maya to achieve fluidity and flow in our deliveries. We did struggle though with our first scene as we had to walk into the frame a certain way which resulted in us not even looking through the window but looking at an s on the wall to create the illusion of looking at grace. Though a bit unorthodox we did manage it and moved on to the next scene.

When shooting I was able to take off my brace as I had healed enough that I could move my arm about but not too much or it would start to hurt. This did provide a challenge of points for example one shot had me reaching out to the end of the table to place the tape recorder unluckily in continuity I chose my left arm to do this which led me to keep stretching my arm out and making sure I place the tape recorder in the right place every time. Though painful at times I was able to move forward with others and I think me and Maya did a good performance not giving much away through our faces and retaining the effect of mysterious agents.

Tuesday was very easygoing for my role as Agent 1. This was because I had one shot to film where all I did was walk into shot and take a picture with an old camera. With this I learnt my lesson from Monday and used my right arm to take the picture and not my left.

My downtime this day was mainly used to go over my final scenes that would be filmed the next day.

Wednesday was my final day of acting and was probably my most focused day of acting. This stopped me from helping too much with set design as I had to talk with the directors about what they wanted and where they wanted me. The first challenge of the day was trying to walk in sync with Maya funny enough as getting through the door was awkward and made timing things hard. But after that obstacle, the lines were no issue instead our briefcase prop was to fault. This was because we discovered it was tough to open which led to a lot of scenes looking awkward as we were fiddling with the case. We got around this by practicing our movements and how to hold the case which made things a lot easier when filming the scene again. That scene was our last speaking role so all we had to do now was nail our action scenes which in my opinion we did. The only struggle we had was again looking through very small window and placing ourselves so we were in shot.

My injury did prove a problem when filming this but I found ways to make sure it didn't slow the crew or myself down and by the time this is assessed I should hopefully be fully recovered.
