2.      How is your progress?

Well I am in the 2^nd week of my course. This week I have watched videos regarding the Birth of elements and Higgs Boson. This week was little more towards history and also involved so much calculations. This week required a little physics knowledge which of course I have forgotten so I had to flip through my secondary physics books and go through the formulas in order to understand better the topics. After viewing the videos, I completed the set of questions and I managed to get most of the questions correct in my 1^st attempt.

 

3.     Points to remember from week 2!

This week I have learnt how the chemical elements of the periodic table exist. At the very beginning of the universe, at the Big Bang, there were only hydrogen and helium formed. However, we need other elements like carbon ,oxygen, nitrogen to make up our bodies. These elements are produced by a nuclear reaction which releases neutrinos (subatomic particle with no charge). This reaction is happening in the center of the Sun. The only thing we can see is the surface of the Sun. We can't see straight into the interior or center of the Sun because light doesn't penetrate through it as the Sun is so hot and dense, it’s sort of foggy, thus we cannot see the center of the sun directly. Since these elements exist inside the Sun, this explains why we cannot live without Sun, why there will be no biological system probably exist on Earth. Have you wondered how the Sun shines? The Sun release it’s mass as energy, that’s how we receive the sunlight. Since the Sun is releasing its mass as energy, it is getting lighter and lighter, thus the Sun will not last forever. The Sun can only produce certain elements and not all as the reaction can only go beyond a certain level. Other bigger heavier elements are produced by more massive stars, but these can be only released after the explosion of the stars at their end of the life.

 

4.     Your feelings & thoughts 

This course is actually getting harder but I am not regretting for enrolling myself into this course. Since this week was little more on history so it was kind of boring, I manage to complete it.

 

5.      1 good thing from what you did that you can practice now!

As I mentioned earlier, this week also required little of physics. So I was diligent enough to open my secondary physics books to go through little on the formulas in order for me to understand well about the topics this week.

 

6.      Any difficulties/concerns? How did you cope?

This week was little more towards history which was kind of boring and I started to lose my attention so I couldn’t focus the lectures continuously. I took some breaks in between to regain my focus.

Still interesting and exciting but slightly getting lazy

 

8.     Your plan for next week (Week 3)

I have to continue watching the lectures and answer the quizzes as well as the grading test. I hope I can do well just like this week and be less lazy.

Alhamdulillah progressed for this second week, we got another 5 customers. To conclude for this second week of our sale, the remaining enamel pins are 57 and 63 enamel pins have been sold. Most of our customers are mostly from our circle. It will be great if our product could reach a wider range of people. Furthermore, we also added some value to our packaging by placing our business card and shredded paper to make it look more appealing. In addition, we usually have meetings at least once a week to discuss any issues or problems that we face during the selling process. 

Points to remember from week 2 are to be more proactive and enthusiastic. What I mean is we need to think more about marketing ideas and ways to promote our page. These issues will be further discussed in our next meeting.

I am happy and excited since I have decided to do this and this is actually my baby step in my business career. I believe a little progress every day adds up to bigger results. 

1 good thing from what I did that I can practice now is to be more proactive, brave, and have a willingness to learn and to do something new. Doing this business is like stepping out of my comfort zone. I believe if I can do this, I can do anything else that I have been wanting to do.

 

Since covid cases keep rising. This actually has an effect on our delivery. Since one of my friends handles the delivery, I feel so bad for her. Since we have no choice but to use the pickup delivery service and all of us are still new about this. By the way, covid could not be the reason for us to stop what we are doing, from this matter actually we get to learn how to handle delivery easier in the next future if we face with the same situation.

Flexible and motivating 

 

My plan for next week is to discuss with other team members how to promote our page on social media, marketing ideas, and how to make our page more attractive and captivating so that many people would like to visit our page.

2. How is your progress?

 In my second week, I picked up the same product ordered from a supplier . After that, I have packed the product according to the measurements requested by the customer such as 250 grams, 500 grams, or 1000 grams. Not only that, but I also do promotions on social media more often.

 

3. Things to keep in mind from the 2nd week!

Things to remember are not to be ashamed to learn and always thirst for knowledge. Next, always be creative and dare to take risks. Always be disciplined and sensitive to all aspects.

 

4. Your feelings & thoughts

 Still eager to make the best and correct previous mistakes. Mistakes make me learn and stay strong in the face of challenges.

 

5. 1 good thing from what you do that you can practice now!

 The thing I get is that I learn how to manage raw materials and maintain freshness to give to customers. not only that, in terms of packaging I also learned a lot from more skilled people.

 

6. Any difficulties / concerns? How do you cope?

 The problem I faced was in terms of the delivery of raw goods sent from Kuala Lumpur directly to me. I am very worried in terms of the quality that will be received because the product has been exposed for a long time but thank God it did not happen, the product obtained is very quality and fresh. and also in terms of packaging and processing techniques but with the availability of the internet and resources from skilled people, the matter was successfully resolved.

 

7. 2 words to describe the progress of elective posting so far

Struggling but not giving up, there are many obstacles I have to face to improve the quality and progress of my project.

 

8. Your plans for next week (Week 3)

 My plan next week is to study in terms of processing and organization. Next, Recheck in terms of finances. Make deliveries to customers via Cash on delivery (COD).

I’ve mastered the basic and easy chords for ukulele, just by having repetitive practices guided by my online tutor.

It is actually very tricky since I have to get used to positioning my fingers and not touching the other strings.

Other than that, I’ve learnt how to strumming using pick and picking patterns. These two are different things. These are the component has been taught :

- Right Hand Technique,

- Thumb Picking

- Finger Picking

- Picking Patterns

It took me one whole week to learn the picking technique, while refering to the videos by my online tutor. 

 

3. Points to remember from week 2!

Not to give up because strumming with pick is actually tougher as I thought because I have to control the same amount of pressure while strumming. And if I want to change between chords in a song, I have to be fast so it won’t sound weird.

 

4. Your feelings & thoughts 

There is certain time when I feel this project is tricky and frustating because I have to memorise the chords and there’s a lot! However, my feelings are kept neutral as time goes by. Nevertheless, picking is the hardest for this week and it can become frustating sometimes

5. 1 good thing from what you did that you can practice now!

The willingness to not give up and patience! As I can become pretty impatient, it is a value that I shall persevere from now on

 

6. Any difficulties/concerns? How did you cope?

My difficulties are pretty the same as week ago, it seems like I’ve getting used to it. The difference is just by using a pick, I have to maintain the same amount of pressure because using a pick makes the sound louder and inconsistent. So, I think repetitive practise by using the ‘Pressure and Relaxation’ technique is useful. Picking is also so hard to be done because there are many patterns and each pattern have different steps. In order to get it right, I have to memorise the patterns. To cope with it, should follow my friend’s advice which is to practise according to the class and practise my own favourite songs via Youtube

 

 Fun but challenging

 

I’ll choose a song for my final presentation and continue for the picking for few days and proceed with playing my selected favourite songs.
