Place: Sarah India: India is a beautiful, cultural, traditional, wonderful, and unique place. According to the article, “ Why Is India the Most Unique Country In the World?”, during the reign of kings and queens, India used to be the richest country. Other places relied on their foods, because they had the biggest source of rice and vegetation. In most places weddings are only one day. However, in India, that is not the case. Weddings last for days. Women in India wear a ‘bindi’, which is very special to them. As said in “ Why Is India the Most Unique Country In the World?”, “...young girls can wear any colored bindi to indicate their spiritual eye.”.

It was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. They needed masons, stone-cutters, inlayers, carvers, painters, calligraphers, dome builders and other artisans, in order to make it.
The article called, “South Asia”, proves how many beautiful human characteristics there are in India. New Delhi is India’s capital city. It has a very interesting history. As stated by “South Asia”, “the Mughal emperors once ruled from the Red Fort, built in 1639. The fort is in Old Delhi, a busy maze of streets, colors and smells!”. Also, Mumbai is known for it’s film industry. It is the most popular city in India, with over 12 million people. In addition, a beautiful place named Varanasi, was built along the River Ganges. Varanasi is very sacred. Over 2,000 years, Varanasi was visited by Hindus to wash away their sins. They believe, that if they die, it would be basically an honor to die there. According to the text, “along the banks are bathing ‘ghats’ and at dusk twinkling oil lamps float on the placid waters.”. Temples are very important to India. In the southern state, Tamil Nadu, has a temple that is decorated with Hindu gods. This temple is called Meenakshi Amman Temple, and it is located in Madurai, and is ornate and colourful. As said in the text, “it has a temple elephant that will give you a blessing (a pat on the head with it’s trunk).”. An Indian classical dance, named Bharata Natyam is the centre of the Brihadeeswarar Temple in Thanjavur. Furthermore, the article states that,”India is also where Buddhism originated and in these caves you can see incredible Buddhist paintings (or frescoes) that date back to 200 BC. The Kailasa Temple is the world’s largest sculpture shaped from a single rock and stands three storeys high. They are the equivalent of the Mona Lisa for the Buddhist art world.”

In India, they are changing their environment by destroying forests to make space for houses, and other important things to help India’s economy. The worst part is that the government does not care about what civilians do, so due to this problem, India is harming their environment to suit their own needs. Another bad thing about India’s environment is that in India, people who live there just dump their garbage on the ground everywhere the go so that the garbage is releasing harmful fumes and toxins in the air as well. This just continues the harm being done to the environment.

According to “Southern Asia”, South Asia has about one-fifth of the world’s population. Since it is so large, there are many climates. This causes a lot of people to be underfed or undernourished, according to the Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security. There is a great emphasis on agriculture. Most of South Asia still farms, even though urban cities are becoming more common. The climate affects how people farm in South Asia. Places like Bangladesh and the southern tip of India have a lot of rain, which causes floods. That is why people can not farm the entire year and must come up with alternative ways to have produce. There are dry deserts in the northwest. There are tropical rainforests in the south. There are three famous rivers in the east. The names of these rivers in the east are the Brahmaputra River, the Meghna River and the Ganges River. The Bay of Bengal has the world’s largest delta.
