This is legally prohibited for public hospitals.</p></li><li><p>Some agreements allow U.S. providers to offer specialized care like cancer and cardiac treatment in Mexico or by treating patients in the U.S.</p></li><li><p>Many Americans go to Mexico for affordable dental or medical treatments (medical tourism).</p></li><li><p>Compared to the U.S., Mexico spends less per capita on healthcare but provides coverage to more people.</p></li></ul>]]></description>
