Katniss Everdeen was courageous by volunteering to take her sister’s place in the games, and when she called out for Peeta, even though it could’ve harmed her.  Tris Prior showed courage by choosing Dauntless and going against her family, standing in front of “Four” when he was throwing knives at Al, and when she went into the weapons room and put herself in mortal danger.  Crowly and Aziraphel were courageous when they took each other's place so that neither of them would die and they could live together.  When Day goes into a highly secure medical facility and steals medicine to save his family, he was being courageous.


I think of 9/11 because of all of the firefighters and regular people who decided to help everyone else who is in peril, and ended up saving another humans life.
