Spanish and English have many cognates, such as actor and actor. However, there are many differences too, like how there is not an a.m. or p.m. in Spanish. 
   The most interesting things I learned about Costa Rica this year were its food and climate. I really liked learning about all the recipes that are native to Costa Rica.
   If I continue to study the Spanish language I hope to learn more words to help me communicate with other students at my school and get fluent when I read.
   When I started Spanish this year, I thought I would be in a classroom, but I was pleasantly surprised to be in this online course. Everything was at a very good pace and I was able to follow the schedule to get all my work done. Overall this was a very good course and I don't think there need to be any improvements. 
   This year in Spanish, I took notes on vocabulary and grammar, these notes helped me study for various quizzes and speaking assignments. In the future, I think I should take more grammar notes because that is the area I struggle in. 
 Mr. Alvarado was a very good teacher this year. Every time I had a question he would answer very quickly and help me through my problem. He always had videos in his announcements that would help you through what we were learning this week.    Hay similitudes y diferencias entre los Estados Unidos y costa rica. En costa rica el año de la escuela es de febrero a diciembre, pero en los Estados Unidos el año de la escuela es de agosto a junio. Tambien en Costa Rica el fútbol es muy popular, pero en los Estados Unidos el fútbol americano es muy popular. 
   En Costa Rica y los Estados Unidos las materias de la escuela son las mismas. Por ejemplo, es estudiantes estudian matemáticas, arte, historia, y banda. Tambien en Costa Rica y los Estados Unidos jovenes gustan ir de compras y pasar tiempo con amigos.
