 The states demands full loyalty of an individual, and also does not provide basic rights/liberties to individuals. The states expects personal sacrifice of people for the good of the state.

2.Enforcement Methods.
The government had police that would spy and intimidate people. The government would also control what children would be taught in school, they would be taught to always support the goals of the party, to never question the goals of the party, to become spies for the government, and to turn in people who are against the party. 

3.Modern Technology
The government has complete control as to what is put out on all mass media, and crushes all opposing views. The government also lies to the people to make the goals of the party reached. If anyone questions or retaliates, they will be punished badly.

4.State control of society
The state basically controls every aspect of their lives. That includes businesses, religions, housing, youth groups, education, labor, and personal life.

5. Dictatorship and One-Party Rule
Their is only one party of people who decide everything that happens in a country. A dictator is only one person who has 100% power in that country. Everyone has to do what he says.

6.Dynamic Leader
A dynamic leader is a person who unites the people and symbolizes the government. They also encourage popular support through the force of will.

7.Ideology
Ideology means to set the goals of the state, and to glorify the aims of the state. First of all the all had Stalin in it. Second he was always either shown as a kind, and lovely man with children all smiling and happy, or he was shown as a big power person leading an army in battle with a angry looking face. Or they would just be a portrait of him by himself. These all brainwashed the people of Russia to believe that he wasn't a bad guy.
