The first (1928-1932) focused on rapid industrialization and governmental control of other industries such as agriculture. The second one (1933-1937) continued where the previous plan left off, with Stalin taking more and more from the Russian people and driving the economy into the ground. Stalin plans led to mass famines and millions of deaths resulting from the oppression of the government from his various policies.
