In Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, he shows how the news and media can affect people’s opinion and political views. For example, the news has people thinking about different ways to view a candidate that could be running for any position. In the book, one of Mildred’s friends says, “I think he’s one of the nicest looking man to ever become president.” (Bradbury 93) Saying someone is “nice” looking could mean they look like a nice person or they could be attractive to the voter. That could be satire that people shouldn't care who the president is or who is in the government. They might not care what they stand for but more about their looks.

In Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, he shows that the technology affects the political views people have. For example, they have a machine that acts like a dog that maybe the government put to change peoples mind into voting one way. The hound has eyes that people will always remember. “This Blue green eyes glowed from the dark” (bradbury.) I think he has the view that the house isn’t really there just for the idea to protect people, but maybe it can show people to vote one way. Their tech also uses a talking wall. I think that maybe this wall talks to people at night while they are asleep to keep them voting this one way.

In the new age of tech, people share their political views online or share their campaign. A lot of candidates go off of social media these days to put out polls for the interaction of younger people or older. The person running also uses Facebook or YouTube to promate themself. “There are now proposal for Internet voting, which could lead to more people participating in each election to come.” (Satterfield) Which could lead to more of the candidates people sharing online could come closer to a tie or be more far apart then they are already. This could also lead to a little more of a good thing for how people run online, including not putting out as rude as some of the Ads people post online about people. Other reason people can see the things our own President says on twitter. He posts things like “This is so nice that the shackles have been taken off.” As Pickland writes in his article about how our own president Donald Trump has over 12.5 million followers. He sometimes writes really badly about other people or people running against him to win over other people votes. When Hillary CLinton ran for president she had 9.8 million followers on twitter but she hardly used the social media platform to talk badly about other candidates. Our 44th president Obama now has 78 million followers on twitter. Most of his posts arent talking badly about other people rather than maybe a few of his tweets.
