Yes, corporate culture is very important for employee happiness and satisfaction. As I pointed out during the class, in the age of social media, it's easy to research corporate culture. Many companies will now share what they do to make their workplaces more employee friendly and how they organize charitable activities so they are good 'corporate partners.' An example of this would be the CIBC, which does the Run for the Cure every October to raise money for breast cancer research. If I had to define culturein general, I would say that it helps people to identify themselves as individuals belonging to a group, it helps to recognise others by putting labels on them.

We still have beliefs and judgements based on our knowledge, fears or what we think we know. 
Sometimes we idealise or demonise employees by one's behaviour, words or temperament. 
Misunderstandings are aggravated when we do not question ourselves and  do not open communication to check our perception in a direct or subtle way.
