I like using flipped classroom for introducing new topics. I use think pair share quit a lot as this allows for all students in the class to participate and not just some of them. During structured debate students can argue their point.

Based on what I have learned, I will try to make my teaching more student-centered by involving students more actively in the learning process. My next unit is on zoning approaches, and instead of only lecturing about the different types of zoning, I will divide the students into groups and assign one zoning approach to each group. Each group will research their assigned zoning approach, explain its main characteristics, advantages and disadvantages, and provide a practical example of how it is used to structure urban space. They will then present their findings to the class, allowing other students to ask questions and compare the different approaches.
