To convert measurement on a ratio table you have to...... If one cup is is 8 ounces then I knew that 2 cups were 16 ounces and 3 cups are 24 ounces. When I did number 2 I knew that 1 quart was 32 ounces so 2 quarts would be 64 ounces because 32+32=64 when I did 3 quarts I added 64+32 and got 96. Then when I did 3 I knew that 1 gallon is 128 gallons and when I did 2 I did 128+128 and got 256 when i had to do 3 quarts and added 256+128 and got 384 as my answer.

How we use a ratio table is we have to know how many ounces in a hcup. Then it may ask how many ounces are in 2 cups so then you have to multiply 8x2 because there are 8 ounces In a cup and there are 2 cups and that will be 16, but I'd it asked half of a cup or less then 1 whole cup then you have to divide. Let's say it asked you about half of a cup then all u have to do is half of 8 them you will get the answer!

One cup is eight ounces so Once you figure out what the measurement of one is you can use a ratio table to add on to it. If I had one cup I could go to two cups. Their is eight ounces in a cup so there would be 16 ounces in two cups. I can either make it bigger or smaller. If I wanted to find out how many ounces are in a half of a cup. Since eight ounces is in one half of eight is four so that would get you your awnser.

You put the two measurements you want to use in the two title boxes( for example- cups to ounces). Next, you put in you put in a number to say the amount of that unit you want.( I like to start at 1) then, see how many of the other unit it takes to make 1 of the other unit. ( for me, it was 8oz. To 1 cup.) finally, continue this by doubling or adding a group of what you just wrote.(for me I would then go to 2 oz to 16 cups, 3 oz to 24 cups and so on.) Now you have a ratio table from one measurement to another!

You use the ratio tables to convert measurements by starting with the unit of 1 cup equals 8 ounces. From there if you wanted to know how many ounces there was in a pint, you would look at how many cups are in a pint and multiply that by 8. This rule goes for quarts and gallons too. If you had 10 gallons equals 1,280 ounces and you wanted to figure out 3. You would divide it by 10 and then multiply by 3. This also works for all measurements in this measurement.

Measurements
1 ounce = 1 ounce
1 cup = 8 ounces
1 pint = 2 cups
1 quart = 4 cups
1 gallon = 16 cups

For example, if 1 cup is 8 ounces, we can find out 2 by just doubling because 1 doubled is 2 so 8 doubled is 16 which means that 2 cups is 16 ounces.
