Ten years ago I went on a trip to the incredible Victoria Falls for a couple of days. One afternoon we went on a quiet canoe trip on the Zambezi River. We were slowly rowing on the water, keeping our eyes peeled for animals when I spotted this baby crocodile sunning itself on a low branch of a tree. It looked so content! We'd already seen a hippo, its body submerged under the water and its eyes just above the water line, watching us. I realised that this was not the time or place for a swim!

In Slovenia this summer, we were going to hiking in the mountain with Friends and there was a big storm and all the trees fell on the road so we were stuck one day there. We put our tents and slept there. The day after, a helicopter came pick us. This storm killed five people in the forest. Fortunatelly, my friends and me were safe. It was very impressive to see.

Beautiful Horse

When I visited my brother in Austria, last summer we went for some hikes in the mountains around. One day we saw that breathtaking male Haflinger Horse. He lived in that beatufull landscape with just one other Horse. He was very proud so he didn't like it when we took pictures of him. But we did and than we have to move away very quickley because he came after us.

I went on a trip to Wilderness by car. It was an amazing drive through a vast valley and we saw an elephant in a reservate. At the end we reached this stunning spot. It is called „Map of Africa“. The weather was light and airy and the view was absolutely spectacular.

Last year I went to Miami for a roadtrip with my husband. One morning we walked along the promenade and saw a car from the local police. My husband asked the Officer to change patches but he didn‘d had one. So he cut the patch off his uniform with a knife. Meanwhile my husband has a large Collection because every vacation he had changed the patches from his uniform with other police officers.

Two years ago I had a hiking trip at the Alps from Germany (Oberstorf) to Italy (Meran). A friend of mine and me, we were hiking about 180 km and 8000 heightmeters in 5 days. There were so many different breathtaking views in the mountains. The daily hiking sessions were very challenging because of the high temperatures. We met many other hiking people we talked with about their experiences.

I've been in Cape Town for 3 months and I am enjoying it. It is a beautiful city as a whole, I tried new things and learned new lessons so far. One of them was hiking Lion's Head. It has a flat pathway at the beginning but gets harder through end. We had walked about 30 minutes and the rest was rocky and we needed to climb ladders and rocks. It was tiring but rewarding feeling once we reached the peak.
