The significance of the article was to point out how psychologically drugs can affect offspring and their life. Normal brain functions of the child can be altered by the affects that marijuana has on a parent’s offspring. In Susie's case, she had a seizure at 4 years old. It led to:
    •  involuntary muscle movements in her hand on the left side after the seizure.   
    • She had trouble walking after the seizure, but walks fine now
    • Being affected by bright lights and loud noises

    This includes dealing with the relationships she already has with her family members, causing her to have social problems.  Some type of therapy would benefit her expressing and labeling her emotions and also help her learn how to maintain healthy relationships.
