I remember visiting my grandmother's apartment and getting my fingers dusty running my hands along the book spines. My dad is a newspaper man, one who always valued an economy of words, and whose moral compass always pointed north. 

In 2013, I graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in nonfiction writing.
