Column: Vertical series of cells 

Cell: An intersection between a column and a row  

Row: Horizontal series of cells  

Formula: An expression that calculates the value of a cell 

Data: Information stored in cells 

SUM: Adds all the given values 

Label: Words describing the values of a row/column 

Sort; Arranges the values in a certain sequence or order according to specific rules 

Cell reference: Refers to a cell or a range of cells 

Absolute cell referencing: Remains constant even if the spreadsheet is changed or the reference is copied/moved to another cell/sheet 

Fill Handle: Allows the user to extend/fill any value to any number of cells 

Validation: Helps to control what can be entered in your worksheet 

Chart: Allows you to visually display data. Also called a graph 

Formatting: Changes the appearance of a number without changing the actual number (%, $. decimal etc) 

IF Statement: Checks whether a condition is met; returns one value if true and another one if false 

AutoSUM: Inserts a formula that adds all the values 

Average: A formula that adds all the values and divides it by how many values there are ie finding the average 

Minimum: Returns the smallest value from the values provided 

Maximum: Returns the largest value from the values provided
