(1947) The Truman Doctrine

After World War II, many countries in Europe were struggling. The U.S. gave them money to help rebuild so they wouldn’t turn to communism. This made the U.S. and Europe strong allies and helped American businesses grow. Today, the U.S. still gives money and aid to other countries in need.

(1950-1953) The Korean War
