I never thought I would say that I miss that pesky beeping sound of the library scanner, but I sure do. Most of all I miss all of you! In all this time of uncertainty, one thing we can be certain of is the magic of books to take us to away to places without even having to leave where we are. I love this quote because it reminds me I can dream during the day to get away for a bit just by reading a book. I hope you all get to read lots of books that allow you to daydream while we are apart. I am looking forward to seeing you all soon!

Once you are in HISD's Digital Resources, you can click "Library References" on the left to take you to the resources below. SImply click on the resource you would like to access and follow the instructions below.

1. myON
Once myON is open it is ready to go. Choose a book from your library or click the "Browse" button for more options. Every once and a while it may ask you to take a benchmark reading assessment to update your profile.

2. Destiny
This is our school library catalog and there are some eBooks available in there for you to read at home. Once in Destiny, search for "Travis" and then login using the HoustonISD SAML SSO. Search using "ebooks" and Click "Open" to read a book of your choice.

3. HPL eBooks & TumbleBooks
The Houston Public Library has partnered with HISD to bring loads of free resources to our students. Once you open the HPL Learning Link resource, instructions for logging in are on the page as well as eBook links to Axis360 and TumbleBooks on the bottom of the page.

Please do not stress about this too much. We are going to collect what we can and regroup when we are able to be back together in school. If you are wondering what book(s) you have checked out from the library, you may reach out to me or your teacher. We are asking that library books at home be returned during your scheduled school visit to say farewell to your teacher for the summer and collect your belongings.
