Simple fix - all EHCPs must state what must be provided and legally written .

So let’s make this easy :

Step 1 tell all casework’s to write provision with the correct model verb “ John must be provided with x y z”

Step 2 tell all schools and parents to highlight any provision that doesn’t read as such and send back to caseworker ,

Step 3 LA to take caseworkers down the disciplinary route if they haven’t written the provision lawfully ,

Step 4 a panel of parents spot audit EHCPs ( personal data redacted ) once a month ,

Step 5 disciplinary action to be taken if they aren’t legally binding ,

Step 6 a panel of parents to spot audit complaints ( personal data redacted ),

Step 7 disciplinary action to be taken if they aren’t legally binding trying to use loopholes or are breaching the law .

Yes I know it’s a lot of effort for the panel of parents - but they can’t and won’t get it right by themselves!
