Samaria Zidane and her Mother are spies working for the French Resistance. Although they are French-Algerian, both the French and the Algerians share a common hatred for their German occupiers. They were to deliver a crucial message to the Resistance: the Invasion of France would begin soon, and that the Rebels needed to sabotage as much railways and comms as possible in the area. However, Samaria's mother tried to help a couple that was arrested and got caught. Samaria hid from the German troops by hiding in a dog house with a tiny dog. Samaria escaped with the dog in tow and continued her mother's mission. She eventually found the resistance when two of them were posing as Nazi guards on a bridge.

After Samaria tells the resistance the message, they ask her to leave so they can get to work. However, she wanted to do anything that might help save her mom, so eventually they put her with a team to sabotage comms and a railroad. While sneaking up on the Station attendant nearby, the dog that had followed her ran into the attendant. Thankfully he was a WW1 veteran and hated the Germans as well. Before they could sabotage a tunnel nearby, a train full of tanks sneaks through. The man from the resistance who was watching her, Jason, sacrificed his life to pull the rails up just in time. Right before the Resistance leaves, Samaria noticed paratroopers coming down overhead, a sign that the invasion was underway.

Although landing far away from his drop zone, James landed without any bullet holes. Since he was too far away from his required target, his new assignment was to take the enemy headquarters at Varaville. In Varaville, the enemies were encamped in some trenches with a small Howitzer. While trying to disable the heavy gun with a P.I.A.T., James' commander and two other soldiers got caught in a huge explosion (a heavy gun shell and a few anti-tank rounds don't mix well). James, now in charge, stuck a mortar in a tree and shot it at the Howitzer bunker. Not only did it destroy the gun, but he was able to shoot at some machine gun posts before the enemy surrendered. Although outnumbered three to one, James and the paratroopers were victorious.

Instead of landing on the actual shore, the boat had hit a sandbank, forcing the survivors to swim to shore. Dee was constantly worried since Sid was nowhere in sight. He was held up behind a Czech Hedgehog granting him partial cover from the machine guns. The closest cover was behind a sand dune thirty yards away, but Dee had to make a run for it because another soldier was tasked with destroying the Hedgehogs in order to let tanks through. At Omaha beach, in the area of D-day with the most casualties, he wondered why the troops had no artillery and who put him and his fellow men in a slaughterhouse.
