☇ chan is their only child after his mother had complications with giving birth to him. because of this he was given all their attention and practically spoiled with their love and attention when his parents weren't working. 

☇ at age thirteen, tragedy struck in the family as his paternal grandpa grew ill and quickly declined in health and inevitably passed away. his grandmother  being incredibly stubborn, refused to move away from the home she and her husband had created in yeongwon. not wanting to leave her alone in her old age, chan had decided to move to the small town for a few months as she went through the mourning process. 

☇ while the living situation was only meant to be temporary, chan had grown fond of the quiet town over the busy city life of seoul and decided to stay, asking his parents and grandmother to enroll him into the same school as the friends he had made, and to send more of his things to the island.

the first day moving to a new town was nerve wracking for someone at thirteen. you were one of the first residents in the town to welcome chan and to show him around. it was safe to say you were his first friend in yeongwan and even years later, you are still one of his closest friend.

i don't mind purple prose but i am not good at it at all so please keep that in mind!

i can’t help but to think about what if it was my grandmother…i’m so thankful i’m here to look after her and prevent these things. if only others would do the same for their parents and grandparents.
