I also like to travel and learn different cultures around the world and also learning different backgrounds as well. 
I love writing and little bit of reading during high school and it helps me a lot in the past cause when I was younger, I had difficult understanding about a topics in the past 5  years. And reading and writing really helped me out a lot so I can understand better. 
I hope to have better writing skills during English 111 so I can become a better communicator so I can use that in the future after getting my degree from college.

I am majoring in education; my goal is to teach high school and I’m working towards getting certified in ASL.  I am a single dad and have 3 daughters ages 4, 6, and 8.  When I’m not in class they keep me very busy, and we love swimming.  They ask me daily if the pool is open yet :)  A fun fact about me is my weird taste in TV. I like horror films, which are difficult to watch with little kids around and reality shows like Drag Race. I am just returning to school; I have not attended college in around 10 years.  I just finished my 1st semester and luckily have some credits accumulated so I should be able to graduate next spring.  I love to write for myself, but always dreaded school assignments.  Like we discussed in class my experience involved many essays and we did not focus on skills just grammar.  This made me really hate writing in an academic setting.  I have written some essays since returning to NOVA and have done surprisingly well. It is refreshing to see how the teaching methods have evolved since I attended High School.  I have a solid foundation on writing research and objective papers for classes like History, but I hope to find my personal voice or style of writing during this class.  I want to work on opinion pieces and forming my own clear arguments.

My passion is emergency medicine, so I thrive when I am posted to Emergency Departments as part of my job. I have a love/hate relationship with writing and reading as I love to read, read multiple books a year, have a huge collection and a ton of audiobooks. Podcasts have become my new favorite way to pass the time, I feel like I am tapped into the world and get many perspectives and sources of information that aren't through a mainstream filter.  The hate part is the past times that I have taken English or any other writing oriented class, anything structured or requiring source organization or formatting is frustrating to me. I prefer freestyle writing(or rambling as my friends and loved ones tell me) and struggled to make deadlines and prepare MLA formats, probably because I am a contrarian and most likely have undiagnosed severe ADHD(so I am constantly told) but who has time for that, there is life to live! C'est la vie. I hope to pass this class(like everyone else) but for me it is more of an exercise in discipline and time management/goal completion. My name is Mustafa Burak Turkoglu. Currently I am majoring in IT (Cloud Computing) since it is booming the field and is a high demand job on the market. In the future, if nothing goes sideways, I hope to work in a company that has a branch in Turkey where I actually grew up. I do not think writing is going to play a big role vocationally to me. However, reading is vice versa.IT is an ever-rising industry and probably I need to get myself updated constantly by reading articles and news. Other than that, I used to pick social, literature and math classes back in high school. Therefore, writing and reading interfered my life in an extent. A weird thing about me is that I cannot wear socks at home and if I am visiting my relatives or friends at their place, I might kindly ask them whether I can take my socks off or not.
