Why you liked the time period or story

I like the period since it shows the development of English literature which was most evident in vocabulary and grammar. Also how women were patrons of the earliest known poetry written in English and some of the most difficult poems composed in Latin. It's just so interesting to me because for some reason I always thought that around this age of time, they weren't allowed to read and needed to be illiterate. Which may be me switching up time frames.

I picked Radioactive since it relates to the invasion of Rome, that happened in the Old English era. Certain lyrics correlate to it. Like, "I raise my flags, don my clothes it's a revolution" which is talking about how it began and what they did. For example, they came in gathering women and children burning them. Another is "Welcome to the new age, to the new age" since, Rome had 55,000 of its inhabitants who were either dead or homeless, so now they are going to be in a new time where they are going to have to heal.
