I chose my favorite artist Drake because I feel I can resonate and relate to him more than any other artist. I've been a fan of his 2014 and over this time I have gained a vast understanding of his work and him as well. Drake is traditionally known for his softer side and approach to women. He gained this reputation from his ground breaking album Take Care. Moving forward we've come to see him learn the mix of a few different kinds of music. More recently we've seen him release songs for dancing, love, and even mixed culture. This is why I chose to review his latest album More Life. Here we see this diverse song selection and as he refers to it, a "playlist", not an album. he has songs such as Passionfruit that inspire dance and happiness. Yet on the other hand he has songs like Free Smoke that are more hard rap based. He has also began displaying a variety of musical elements throughout his projects. In more life we can see repetition in Free Smoke, Sadness in 4422, and slowness in Teenage Fever. My take is that I feel this album is a true representation of how this man has embodied self improvement and humility.
