They helped make time zones a thing so that there were less crashs. They also helped the farmers be able to get their products to consumers faster.

This act came into effect in 1887. It said that the government had the right to supervise and regulate the railroad companies. The government had always been laissez faire (hand off) and was now hands on enforcing this new act. The government was always afraid of the big business men so they usually didn't in force laws.

McKinley was a Gold Bug in the 1896 Presidential Election. One of biggest issues in this election was which metal did they want money to be backed up by gold or sliver. He obliviously wanted gold and he was a republican. He ran the Front Porch Campaign from Canton Ohio. He ran against William Jennings Bryan who was a Silverite and a Democrat. In the end though McKinley won the election.

His biggest concern with the new railroads was passenger travel and how comfortable they were. So he was able to come up with The Pullman Sleeper Car. They were more comfortable ans a lot cleaner. Not only did he make a sleeper car he founded a company town. It was in Illinois and was soon named Pullman Illinois. This was for his workers so that they could get the factories faster even though there were many rules here couldn't be out past a certain time and rent was very expensive.

This was the most interesting thing i learned during the industrial revolution. It was located in Cleveland Ohio i think this is interesting because i didn't know that Cleveland was known for anything. This was the nickname for Euclid Avenue. There were 250 mansions in a 4 mile stretch.
